ABOUT KELLY

Kelly brings over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings to Building Blocks. She has provided childcare for many children ranging in ages from birth up to pre-adolescent. She has been involved with children and their families through her work as an Early Intervention Specialist, where she provided home-based services for children with special needs and conducted play therapy groups.

Kelly Packett, Parent Coach

Kelly worked on an inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit at Tufts-New England Medical Center as a Clinical Social Worker, working with children and their families through extremely challenging times. She also has over seven years of experience as a Bluebird, providing in-home respite care for newborn twins and singletons and consultations to new parents. Most recently, Kelly opened Marcie and Me providing educational play groups to children six months through six years old.

Kelly’s wealth of experience across multiple areas of child development gives her a unique comprehensive perspective on early childhood, making her well suited to provide the range of consulting services offered through Building Blocks.

Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Colby-Sawyer College, with a focus on children and adolescents. She then went on to earn her master's degree at Boston College in Clinical Social Work, with a concentration in child development.
